Lean-N-Green Family Night

So my dad was cleaning out the garage yesterday and was doing laundry when I can home from school, he made it quite clear he had found money in load of my clothes. I kindly asked for it back, he refused, like always. So I said, "Fine, I am going to the Library to return my books." He then made a little offer, If I took all three of the little kids to the library he would return my twelve dollars, after some thought I agreed. It wouldn't be the first time I took them all the Library by my self.
I pulled into the parking lot thinking there are a lot of people here, but it was after school so I didn't think anymore about it. As we are walking inside this lady stops us and asks us if we were there for "Lean-N-Green" Family Night. I quickly said no hurrying inside to find books and get home before one the children did something disastrous or started crying. But that dear sweet lady just didn't give up "Well do you want to be? You get to win prizes, play games and eat snacks!" when you tell a 5, 6 and 7 year old that the answer is always YES! She dragged us over to the table gave us a map and told us what we had to do to enter the drawings.
It did end up being pretty fun. We got free string cheese, a bowl of something, the kids did not like, we tried whole wheat nacho cheese chips and earned a strawberry for playing fruit twister. After that we went to play exercise walk, I never thought I would hear Barney music being blared so loud in a library, after all the kids won a book we moved on to "Garden in a Glove" which was my favorite part. We plated a different kid of bean seed in each finger of a plastic glove...I hope it turns out.
After all the fun and excitement we finally accomplished what we set out to do. Return our books and get new ones.

  1. Take pictures on the bean gloves. I want to see! Finders keepers, you never get your money back.
