ouch

Yesterday was our ward lake day, well 2nd wards lake day. Dad, Kyra, Jeremy and I went. It is safe to say that only one out of the four of us was thinking yesterday. We all got sun burnt, except dad. My face is so red it is ridiculous, my shoulders and back aren't to bad, I attempted to keep my shirt on most of the day when I wasn't in the water but as a result of that I have a nice farmers tan. My knees got super burnt, my legs just a little bit...and then there is my poor nose. It looks like leather, I am sorry nose, but when you start to peel just make it fast. I am not nearly as bad as Kyra and Jeremy are though. When I saw Jeremy this morning at church I wanted to cry for him, His face is so red, he looks like a lobster. He says he shoulders are starting to blister and his back is on fire.
Kyra was insainly red last night, today she was looking a little more brown, but mostly red. We put sun block on her early in the day but she stayed on the beach most of the day with Sister Corless so we forgot to keep putting it on her.
I keep thinking to myself, Why did I not put sun block on?! I know what the answer is, I just don't like it.
My second biggest mistake yesterday was getting behind a boat (other than ours) with Darrin was driving on Whiskeytown. I took about four pretty nasty falls I don't want to relive. Before I finally called it quits until dad could tow me.
I am in the most pain today though from doing the splits. I was trying to put something away and on the floor we had at least two wake boards, maybe a knee board and possibly a ski so I kinda jumped over them expected to land on the wood lid to the ski hole thing. Well it was wet and I slipped into the splits and tried to catch myself...it hurt, not much but it hurt...and then the pain started when I tried to get out of bed this morning. My back, shoulders and neck all hurt!
Over all it was a good day, we got Jeremy to attempt to wake board, he tried water skiing when he was little and submarined and has been scared to try anything again; he has wake surfed and he likes it, but I talked him into wake boarding he tried a couple different times, got up twice but couldn't stay up and fell...more times than any of us counted. It made me happy that he tried, and didn't quit until it was time for us to go.
I love the lake, I can't believe we have only been out twice this year, crazy.
love ya,
