it is finally feeling like summer...

We have had one weird spring here in Redding...meaning we have actually had one! It was crazy it would be in the 80s one day and the next it would be raining again. But thankfully we had a lot for rain in late winter and all through the spring because the lake is actually full, for the first time in a LONG time.
I have only been out on the once so far, this last Wednesday, we went to Whiskeytown because we hadn't bought our Shasta pass yet and we left from swim practice at SHS. It was in the high 80s maybe even 90s that day...hot, we hadn't started turning on the air conditioner yet. When we got to the launch ramp it was only 75 and super windy. I accidentally let the boat blow into the dock, the boat is as beautiful as ever though and dad was actually driving when it happened, but I'll admit it was my fault.
The water was so cold but I couldn't resist wake boarding, I took a nasty fall, my sinus filled with water, then I got smacked in the face with the mist because of the wind. I called it quits after just a short while. It was fun though.
They went out again today, but I had FHE at the branch, I am now the Activities Committee Chair Person, not just a committee member. I love my calling, but it is a little strange it be over people who are 3+ years older than I am, my committee as of right now consists of two returned missionaries. Conducting activities are super weird, because I am pretty much the youngest at our branch, so sometimes I feel like a little kid trying to get there older brother or sister to play a dumb game with them when I am trying to get all these people to play or do something at our activities.
Tonight we played Water Balloon Volleyball, it was super fun like always. I was covered in sand and got eaten alive my mosquitoes. My fingers still hurt from filling and knotting 300 water balloons I had help for about half of it but three hours of that will kill your poor fingers.
If you have any ideas of what we can do for our activities let me know, we need ALL the help we can get.
love ya :D
